CLAIMS

In the event of theft of your boat and/or motor and/or trailer please notify us directly within 24 (twenty four) hours or less. In the event of a claim other than theft please notify us directly within 48 (forty eight) hours or less.

In cases of theft, accident, vandalism or explosion – contact the police and get a case number.
Supply Club Marine Insurance with the following:
•Full name, address, phone/fax numbers and email address
•Photographs, notes of any damage and other useful information
•Don’t agree on fixed costs on salvage or towing call 0861 CLUB CARE
•In event of collision supply: Name, address, contact details of other party and their insurers
•Try to be present when an assessor views the damage
•Keep all your invoices and forward them to us as soon as possible

CROSS BORDER FISHING TRIPS

You need:
Fishing permits – inland *offshore * off beach
Launching permit – some places require special permit to drive vehicle onto sand
Current seaworthy certificate from SAMSAA
Skipper to carry valid seaworthy certificate
Permits – from local resorts, police stations and shops (Ask at border post or local residents) Price depends on supplier or local authorities – ranging from R200 and it must be cash
Store all documents in a plastic bag in your safety canister.

In any of the above you must present all your documentation otherwise your claim could be repudiated.
